National Manager – Children & Young People (Scotland)

Your role will be to co-ordinate, in partnership with employers, government and other national agencies, work to promote education, training and professional development for playworkers in Scotland.

You will be expected to have experience of working in the area of playwork, children’s services or training and professional development.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills and your ability to contribute as part of a team will enable you to carry out this role at the heart of skills development in the active leisure and learning sector in Scotland.   

SkillsActive is the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure and Learning. SkillsActive is led by employers and has a UK wide remit - to address the skills and training needs of organisations and individuals across sport and recreation, play, the outdoors and health and fitness.

This role involves travel within Scotland and the UK.

Salary: £32,782 to £38,245 per annum (starting salary dependent on experience)    

Position: full-time, office based in Edinburgh
