Working in the East region
Stuart Wilson was appointed as the regional development manager for the East of England in December 2005. Operating in close partnership with Sport England, SkillsActive is working with the Sector Skills Development Agency, the Learning and Skills Council, County Sports Partnerships and the Association of Colleges to engage with local employers and training providers.
A strong infrastructure is in place to enable partners at local and regional levels to contribute to the development of the workforce in the field of active leisure and learning, and SkillsActive will work within existing structures at regional and sub-regional levels, where possible, to avoid duplication and to work in partnership with all key stakeholders.
