  • Playwork Learning and Skills Strategy 2011–2016:

    SkillsActive has launched a consultation on its UK strategy for playwork, education, training and qualifications - Playwork Learning and Skills Strategy 2011–2016 - and is urging the playwork sector to get involved.  It follows our first playwork strategy Quality Training, Quality Play (QTQP), which is founded on the principle of Article 31 of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child, recognising play as a right and being fundamental to children’s quality of life.  Deadline for the consultation is 9 April.  More information and details of our consultation events here.
  • Creating child friendly communities conference 19 March 2010

    Play England is pleased to support Nottingham Play in the delivery of this regional conference.  The aim is for delegates to gain a better understanding of children and young people's play and informal recreation and how they can work together to support more child friendly communities.  For further information email info@playworks.org.uk.  Visit our events page to find out what else is going on in the East Midlands.

  • EYFS Guidelines: 

    SkillsActive has published guidelines designed to assist playwork employers and practitioners in interpreting how they can meet the requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) following consultation with the playwork sector.
