Playwork London
The London Centre for Playwork Education and Training (LCPET) was established in 1991 to promote high quality playwork training and educational opportunities throughout the London region.
It is a field based organisation, hosted by Islington Council’s Young People’s Service and managed by a Consortium of individuals and representatives from a range of organisations.
The LCPET has a service level agreement with SkillsActive to carry out a programme of work derived from ‘Quality Training, Quality Play’ (2006) which is the UK wide Strategy for Playwork Education and Training.
As SkillsActive – London, our current work programme includes facilitating and building a number of networks including the London Playwork Employers’ Forum and the London Playwork Trainers’ Network. We also run an annual programme of Playwork Professional Development Seminars and work with colleagues from a range of organisations including Play England, London Play and the Children’s Workforce Development Council.
