Sport & Active Leisure Skills & Productivity Alliance
The Sport and Active Leisure Skills and Productivity Alliance – SALSPA – was formed in 2003.
The group is formed of representatives from key public sector organisations, who have the potential to influence and fund skills, employment and business improvement support to the sector; including Sport England, Skills Active, The Learning and Skills Councils, Northwest Development Agency, Jobcentre Plus, The Regional Intelligence Unit and the North West University Association and Business Link.
These partners have come together to form the Alliance, a group researching individual and employer needs, while offering suggestions on what support could be put in place, providing a clear and coherent set of methods and advice, ensuring the improvement of productivity within the sector. The results of this research can be found in the SALSPA action plan.
This is SALSPA’s unique web portal to inform sport and active leisure businesses, partners and organisations of opportunities available in the North West.
