| | | | | | Playwork Level 3 Qualification Initiative - Training Providers event | | | | SkillsActive, Playwork Partnerships, Learning and Skills Council and Train To Gain invite training providers to join us and find out more about the Playwork Level 3 Initiative which is being introduced in the South West and the opportunities for delivering NVQ’s to the sector over the next 2 years.
This event also incorporates the annual South West Playwork Training Providers forum (PM only) – looking at the latest developments and updates in qualifications, support for providers offering NVQ’s and information on Continuing Professional Development opportunities.

| | Other News | | | | Playwork People 3: The Playwork People survey is SkillsActive’s biennial survey of the playwork workforce. It is the largest dedicated survey of playworkers in England and aims to provide data to underpin and inform the development of playwork workforce training and qualifications provision. The latest survey results from Playwork People 3, containing national and regional data, are available now. Please contact swplay@skillsactive.com for your copy. Consultancy Opportunity - Review of Playwork Quality Assurance systems: SkillsActive is seeking a consultant to review the current playwork quality assurance processes including the Playwork Code of Practice, Register of Playwork Trainers, Approval of Products and Endorsement of Playwork training courses. Innovative Online Academy Goes Live: Employers and learners will now be able to access training resources from one coherent source, thanks to the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure’s innovative ‘Online Academy’ having gone live. The unique and cost effective overall entry point, designed to maximise improved training provision, will impact the whole sector - from large and medium sized companies to small clubs and self employed businesses. Code of Practice: The Code of Practice for Playwork Training Providers is a guarantee that a training provider offers high quality playwork training. The Code encourages good practice in playwork training delivery that in turn benefits learners, trainers and employers and provides a quality standard for the delivery of playwork training.
