However now you can share those same benefits by becoming a SkillsActive Affiliate.

It will allow SkillsActive to work with education and training providers on a closer level and facilitate the mutual flow of information and support.

As the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure and Learning, we are licensed by government to help employers recruit and train the best quality staff. We are employer engaged, consulting consistently with our large membership on industry research, national occupational standards and qualifications frameworks. Although SkillsActive membership is limited to employer organisations, both we and our members are keen to work with education and training providers who offer courses to meet current skills issues and challenges in the sector.

To facilitate this we are introducing an Affiliate Scheme for education and training providers. Your support as an affiliate would be vital to our work; which this year includes the development of a National Skills Academy; continuing to develop national occupational standards and establishing employer networks.

Why become a SkillsActive Affiliate?

SkillsActive acts as an essential link to national and regional employers and helps facilitate training provision and careers advice that is responsive to employer demand.

By bringing your organisation to be a part of this relationship will allow you to have access to our forum, advice and endorsements.

The forum itself will allow your organisation direct contact with employers, allowing you to adapt to employer needs, paving the way for the National Skills Academy that will act as a reference point for employers needing to train their staff.
