Types of membership

We offer 3 different types of membership: Employer, Affiliate and Sole Trader

Employer member

Is available to any organisation that employs staff working within any of our sub sectors. Employer membership is also available to all local authorities and national governing bodies too.

Fees:

Fees are based on the number of employees your organisation has.

• Small business (2-50 employees):             £25+VAT  
• Medium business (51-250 employees):      £100+VAT 
• Large business (251+ employees):            £200+VAT

Affiliate member

Is available to any organisation that offers training or qualifications relevant to active leisure and learning.

Fees:

• Affiliates fees are £100+VAT per organisation.

Is available for individuals, the self-employed and volunteer working within our sector footprint.

• Sole trader membership is £20+VAT per individual.

Patronage

If you would like your organisation to take a greater part in helping the industry you can apply to become a patron of SkillsActive and our skills fund. The revenue from the skills fund goes towards a range of essential projects that we could not support with our usual funding.

Patrons are not charged an annual membership fee but offer instead an annual donation, which includes employer or affiliate membership benefits in the package.
