SkillsActive now has a dedicated web page for training providers to find out more information on TQS and access support. Providers in the sport and fitness sector are increasingly submitting applications to attain the TQS Part B mark and be recognised as offering the highest quality training provision.
The importance of attaining TQS Part B is illustrated through government funding being directed to those with the mark. Organisations wishing to become National Skills Academy recognised training providers must be working toward or have achieved TQS Part B, something which is echoed by the CEO of the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure, Florence Orban: “TQS is a key quality mark for the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure. It demonstrates engagement with, and responsiveness to our sector employers’ need – which are two key criteria we look for in our provider partners. Consequently, we expect all Centres of Excellence to have either achieved TQS or to have applied and be working towards it, and we encourage all our larger academy providers to work towards it.”
SkillsActive now offers a package of direct support to training providers in the sector, which can be found on our website: www.skillsactive.com/training/training-quality-standard.
