Play On: supporting staff to improve their English and maths
English and maths skills are vital in everyday life and playworkers use these skills at work everyday from making a poster, preparing a budget for an activity to writing a letter to parents and carers, or completing a risk assessment.
Our Play On toolkit was developed in partnership with Move On and offers practical advice and support to playwork employers on how to support their staff to develop their English and maths skills.

Playwork Basic Skills Toolkit: supporting playworkers in Wales to improve their literacy and numeracy
We have developed a toolkit in partnership with Play Wales and Basic Skills Cymru especially for employers in the playwork sector based in Wales. The toolkit gives full detailed information on literacy and numeracy in the sector and how employers can access the training to improve the skills of their staff.
