Outdoors Employers' Group

Call for applications for membership (closing date: Friday 15 January 2010, 5pm)

SkillsActive, the UK Sector Skills Council for the outdoors/adventure sectors seeks applications from individuals to become members of the important and influential SkillsActive Outdoors Employers' Group.

As a Sector Skills Council, our role is to work closely with employers (and voluntary organisations) to help them be more successful through areas such as staff development, training and qualifications. For example, we ensure employers have access to fit for purpose qualifications and training.

SkillsActive acts as a conduit between employers/sectors and governments (and related organisations and agencies) to ensure that a clear and current picture of the needs and issues of the sector is promoted. We work closely with NGBs, qualification awarding bodies, funding agencies and regional and national development agencies.

We are very firmly (and proudly!) a UK organisation and seek applications from employers (and others in the outdoors sector) from across the UK.
