The new regional structure will consist of 3 tri-regions:

• Northern Region which covers: North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber
• Midlands Region which covers: West Midlands, East Midlands and the South West
• Southern Region which covers: East, London and the South East

The new tri-regional teams will continue to work with employers and key partners in each region to ensure the future skills needs within the play sector are met by:

• SkillsActive being the first point of contact for all playwork employers and employer representative organisations on play workforce development issues
• Developing close productive relationships and building a strong position of influence with key funding agencies
• Raising the status of the play workforce and ensuring the highest standards and widest accessibility of new and existing education and training opportunities across all regions.
