Apprenticeship grants for employers

Apprenticeship grants offer employers in England up to £1500 for taking on an apprentice aged 16-24.

This funding aims to support employers with paying the wages of new apprentices. Make the most of this opportunity to make an impact by getting young people into jobs.

  • Employers taking on an apprentice aged 16-18 receive £1500
  • Employers taking on an apprentice aged 19-24 receive £750
  • Each grant is payable in two instalments
  • Employers who have taken on a new apprentice from 1 February 2012 are eligible
  • Available to any employers who have not taken on an apprentice in the past twelve months

Priority will be given to small to medium sized employers with less than 1000 employees. SkillsActive’s Group training Association (GTA) is ideally placed to help small employers apply for this funding, as we have great links with Apprenticeship training providers and are working to create networks which can support smaller employers with organising Apprenticeships.

Complete your details below to express interest in accessing this funding and an Account Manger will contact you within two working days with further information.
