Personal Best in the East of England

In the East Personal Best is underway with training providers delivering the programme across the region. These are:

Personal Best in the East Midlands

In the East Midlands through funding from the European Social Fund the Personal Best programme will be delivered in Leicestershire and Rutland, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Lincolnshire.

Across the five counties some 300 learners will graduate from the scheme from summer 2009 to December 2010.

Personal Best in London

Personal Best in the North East

In the North East Personal Best is underway with training providers delivering the Programme across the region. The regional partners are all working together on the target of having 100 people enrolling on the qualification. These are:

Personal Best in the North West

In the North West Personal Best is being coordinated by regional partners including SkillsActive, the LSC, Job Centre Plus and the North West Development Agency.

With nearly £1.5m of funding from the European Social Fund, the Programme will look to deliver the qualification to nearly 500 individuals between December 2009 and December 2011.

Personal Best in the South East

In the South East, Personal Best is funded via the European Social Fund and coordinated by SkillsActive and the Learning and Skills Council. Up to December 2010 over 500 learners will go through the programme.

Personal Best in the South West

In the South West through funding from the South West Regional Development Agency and the European Social Fund a contract has been signed with training providers, providing training to 300 unemployed individuals.

Personal Best in the West Midlands

In the West Midlands Personal Best is funded via the European Social Fund and coordinated by SkillsActive and the Learning and Skills Council as part of the 2012 Inspiration project.

The coordination of training providers will allow 400 learners to go through the scheme from September 2009 to December 2010.

Personal Best in Yorkshire and the Humber

In Yorkshire we are running a pilot Personal Best programme, working together with partners including JCP, Skills Funding Agency and local government to deliver 100 placements - 50 places in South Yorkshire and 50 places in North Yorkshire.
