The North West region
The North West regional hub will be organised around one strong element of sector activities; the Outdoors hosted at COMET, the Centre for Outdoor Management, Education and Training in Penrith.
Our Regional Manager and National Staff will be developing the Sport & Recreation (Including Coaching) and Health & Fitness hubs in consultation with employers and partners throughout 2007/08.
Currently the network will be made up of one centre of excellence in the first year.
Centres of Excellence in the North West
- COMET focused on the outdoors, specifically induction programmes and their delivery, business development skills for small businesses and a database of all providers in the region.
