The North West region
The North West regional hub will be organised around one strong element of sector activities; the Outdoors hosted at COMET, the Centre for Outdoor Management, Education and Training in Penrith.
Our Regional Manager and National Staff will be developing the Sport & Recreation (Including Coaching) and Health & Fitness hubs in consultation with employers and partners throughout 2007/08.
The network for the outdoors will be made up of the following:-
Centres of Excellence in the North West
- COMET focused on the outdoors
The Employers involved
- Outward Bound Trust.
- PGL.
- Brathay Hall.
And many other independent organisations within the Outdoor Sector
The Partners
- HE support – University of Cumbria
- Regional partners include the NWDA, LSC Cumbria, Cumbria Tourist Board, Cumbria Sport and Sport England NW
