Playwork People Survey 2007

Contribute to the largest ever survey dedicated to playworkers!

The Playwork People Survey 2007 was launched by SkillsActive in January.  It is a confidential survey which will seek to measure skills and qualifications in the sector, as well as gathering information on salaries, terms and conditions in the work place, job satisfaction, training needs and career progression.

The Playwork People Survey consists of two questionnaires: one for everyone employed in playwork and a second questionnaire for employers and those responsible for recruitment.  All respondents will be asked about their skills and qualifications whilst employers will be asked further questions about recruitment difficulties and vacancies in their play provision.

This survey is for everyone who works in playwork full-time and part-time and including all types of provision - local authority, private and voluntary and people working in all types of settings (e.g. adventure playgrounds, mobile play services, play centres, out-of-school clubs etc.).  It is essential that as many people take part as possible in order to get a good representation of jobs across the playwork workforce.

The results will provide an invaluable source of information about the workforce and help us to make sure that people who work with children in play settings get the training and qualifications they need.

The employee questionnaire is now closed, thank you to all who participated but we are still looking for responses from playwork employers.

The employer questionnaire has additional questions for employers and those responsible for recruitment in Playwork.
