To compliment the sector focus approach now being developed by Business Link, a team of advisors will be focused on working with employers in the Sport & Active Leisure Industry to offer solutions to skills problems and business issues in the West Midlands

To mark this, an event is being organised to which you are formally invited to welcome advisers to the sector and to formally kick off working relations.
The event will take place on the 24 July from 9.30 – 13.30 followed by a networking buffet at Business Link in the West Midlands offices:

What will the event cover?
- ways to tackle employer engagement
- the delivery of training to improve the level of skills in the sector as well as the generic business support available
Improving skills is fundamental to delivering the new Sport England strategy including increased participation in sport. We aim to improve sector take up of both funded and non-funded training through schemes such as the Train to Gain scheme.
The event is for those involved in workforce development and delivering the agenda including; County Sport Partnerships, National Governing Bodies, providers and advisers.
