Event to prepare teachers and lecturers for the SHD Diploma
Teachers and lecturers are invited to a free event at Bath Racecourse on 8th July to prepare for the Society, Health and Development (SHD) Diploma being introduced this September.
The event, which is funded by SkillsActive, is open to all teachers and lecturers from schools or colleges in the South West region. Those delivering the SHD Diploma will find the day particularly useful.
On the day, members of the SkillsActive Playwork Unit, Children's Workforce Development Council, the play sector and consortia schools will be on hand to share knowledge and expertise. There will also be ample opportunity to ask questions and for networking across the region.
The event, which starts at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30pm will include an overview of the SHD Diploma and the Children’s workforce as well as the role, opportunities, challenges and rewards of playwork from an employer’s perspective, a presentation by a regional consortium and an ‘ask the experts’ session.
Places are limited so to register your place at the event or to find out more information please email: office@glosebp.co.uk or call: 01242 676908
Whilst the event is free, there is a £40 fee for non-attendance on the day or cancellation to cover administrative costs and the cost of the event.
