Sports Council for Wales Coach of the Year awards
Do you know a coach who should be rewarded for their commitment and dedication? The Sports Council for Wales 2008 Coach of the Year Awards are fast approaching and nominations are invited now!

The annual awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 26th November 2008 at the Welsh Institute of Sport.
Nominations are possible across a number of categories:
- Female coach of the year – open to any female coach who coaches a team or individual who has had an impact on community development and/or improved levels of performance
- Volunteer coach of the year - open to volunteer coaches who have had an impact on community development and/or improved levels of performance
- Coach to disabled sportspeople – open to anyone who coaches disabled sportspeople at an élite level, or has improved opportunities for people with a disability to become involved in sport
- Contribution to school sport – open to teachers, coaches and young leaders who have made a significant impact on the development of sport and physical activity within their school
- Coaching through the medium of welsh – open to anyone who coaches a team or individual through the medium of Welsh
- The Sports Council for Wales coach of the year – open to any coach, volunteer or professional
Coaches nominated for categories 1,2,3,4 and 5 must be voluntary or part-time coaches living and coaching in Wales while category 6 is open to coaches who are employed as voluntary, part-time or full time sports coaches. Nominees for this award do not necessarily need to live in Wales but must be nominated for coaching a Welsh team or individual.
