As Londoners pour into their local health clubs to get fit, one of the largest leisure employers in London is calling all sport and leisure businesses to pledge their support for the new National Skills Academy in 2008. Mark Sesnan, Managing Director at social enterprise GLL, London’s leading provider of leisure facilities to the community, says: “We are facing a skills crisis in our sector, but fortunately the launch of a specialised National Skills Academy presents an inspiring opportunity for employers of all sizes. It will not be like anything we have seen before and it promises to revolutionise the way in which employees are recruited and trained.”
