Scotland is governed by a devolved administration and many matters are devolved to the Scottish Government, including education, sport and playwork.

As a result the Scottish skills landscape is unique. Because there are different education policies and strategies it is sometimes difficult to make comparisons with policies, organisations and funding in other counties.
