We have adopted the principle that in the conduct of public business in Wales we will treat Welsh and English on a basis of equality. This Scheme sets out how we will implement that principle in the provision of services to the public in Wales.
We recognise that individuals should be able to express their views and needs in their preferred language, and that enabling them to use their preferred language is a matter of good practice rather than a concession.
We have developed a scheme to ensure that the Welsh speaking public have the right to liaise with us through the medium of Welsh.
