The Higher Education Endorsement Scheme is being managed by SkillsActive in conjunction with the Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity and Sports Coach UK. The scheme is the first time the wider sports sector has come together to offer industry endorsement to enhance the employability agenda in HE. Following a successful pilot scheme, Active Endorsement has now been launched in Coaching, Sports Development, Leisure Management and Fitness.

The new Higher Education Endorsement Scheme for the Sports Development and Sport/ Leisure Management Sectors is now up and running and submissions are being received from higher education institutions.
This event for HEIs will provide information on the background, benefits, endorsement criteria and submission process for the scheme. It is also a chance to learn about all aspects of the scheme and participants will leave the event with all the information needed to make a submission.

Higher Education Endorsement for Sports Coach Education: An event for National Governing Bodies

The new Higher Education Endorsement Scheme for the Sports Coaching Sector is now up and running – five coaching degrees were recently endorsed in the pilot for the scheme.
This event for NGBs will provide information on the background and content of the HE endorsement scheme for coaching and will explore the value of the scheme to sports coaching in the UK. It will also be a chance for NGBs to discuss the link between the HE endorsement scheme for coaching and governing bodies, and to discover how the scheme can link to existing governing body systems and practice.
