Activity leadership

Activity leadership is fundamental to the delivery and operation of sport and physical activity in the UK. Activity leadership involves the delivery of sports or activity sessions for a range of outcomes including enjoyment, personal development and progression in sport to many thousands of participants. As such this strand of the sport sector is hugely beneficial to individuals, communities and the ongoing development of sport in the UK. SkillsActive worked in partnership with Sports Leaders UK to develop this suite of NOS.

These standards were completed and approved by the UK Commission for Education and Skills in June 2009.
