The Work Based Learning Pathway in sports management, leadership and coaching offers hands-on learning within the leisure industry in Wales.
What is a Work Based Learning Pathway all about?
Work Based Learning Pathways provide practical learning and invaluable experience of what it’s like to work in a real-life business. As part of the Learning Pathways 14 –19, links have been established with different businesses around Wales to give young people the opportunity to combine their normal school lessons with a blend of vocational qualifications and work experience.
With a Work Based Learning Pathway, young people will still learn vitally important ‘core’ subjects at school, including Maths, English, Welsh, ICT and Science. The difference is that young people’s time will be divided between schoolwork, practical training and work experience.
